My New Year’s Eve Wedding

Last year I married my boyfriend ๐Ÿ™‚ We had an intimate ceremony at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Radnor with family and friends. My brother Colin from Merryweather Films did the videography, and he is also featured here doing his very manly duties of fixing my train as my Man of Honor. This photo is thanks to our photographer Marie Labbancz who did a wonderful job. (hair and make up by the one and only Beke Beau)

In honor of my Opa, I chose orchids for my bouquet which were his very favorite. Underneath them were garden roses, and Italian ruscus for my Italian husband.

My darling daughter and niece were two of my flower girls, carrying a little posy and each with a flower crown. Here they are sitting in front of a flower wall my mother and I made of roses and hydrangea. (dresses are from the Wedding Shoppe in Wayne, as was my dress)

Our centerpieces were tulips, in honor of my dutch roots, and long trailing orchids again in memory of my Opa. Mirrored tables, clear chiavari chairs, tall crystal candle sticks, and lots of cool table top design added a lot of sparkle and reflection. Our event designer, Christopher Carlson, was able to create a floorpan full of gorgeous details, ย that elevated the experience of the ballroom at St. Davids Golf Club to something completely new, fresh and one of a kind. It was intimate party of 160 guests, where everyone had a personal and inviting place to eat, mingle and sit on couches surrounding our custom striped dance floor and enjoy the sounds of our swing band, the Blue Vipers.

Nothing to do with my flowers, but very necessary to mention was this amazing creation by our friend Joseph Amrani at Delice et Chocolat of Ardmore, our beloved croquembouche. Nothing quite says its party time like this beautiful tower from heaven!!

Brandywine Realty Event

We were recently asked by Perfect Settings Catering to design an event forย Brandywine Realty Trust. Weย had the pleasure of taking a raw unfinished office space and making it into a cool environment where the Brokers could gather for a cocktail and hors d’oeuvres party.

The company colors are green and blue, so with the help of Synergetic we lit the dull grey space up with green lights, projected their logo on the wall, and added some texture to the bare walls with chevron patterned lights. We rented blue glowing orbs from Cort, along with leather couches, rustique communal cafe table, some al fresco bar tables, and bistro stools. Inspired by the decor at Morimoto, we rented the luna bar and coffee tables from Cort.

We hope you enjoy checking out these photos and seeing how this exciting project all came together.

Here is the space in the beginning, and to be honest it wasn’t the easiest place to picture ourselves having a drink or a particularly memorable time.

And then after some minor construction, dry wall put up, and a bit of cleaning…

And then finally the exciting transformation into a cool space, with a great vibe that was so fun to hangout in. We didn’t want to leave…

Wow! What a Wedding at Waynesborough.

I don’t know about you, but there is something completely fabulous about peonies at their peak. Although its nearing the end of the peony season, we were able to get our hands on some outstanding, bright, beautiful peonies and could not keep our eyes off of them!

Coral Peony

Am I right? Or am I right?

The Bridal Bouquet was a knock out, not only were the peonies perfect, so were all of the other flowersโ€ฆ Soft pink peonies, roses, hanging amaranth, and (my personal favorite greenery for a bouquet) angel vine.

Bridal bouquet

The Bridesmaids carried single stems of hydrangea, which we used throughout the wedding ceremony, and reception. And the boutonnieres were orchids with a piece of the same hydrangea, and a special little green from our garden.

Boutonniere

Once the personals were delivered to the Beautiful Bride, her family and friends, it was time then to set up the Reception at Waynesborough Country Club. I don’t even know how it is possible, but each Wedding seems to be more beautiful than the last. As guests entered the Club they were greeted by this lovely romantic arrangement.

Place card table

And then as the guest dined their tables were topped with these glorious centerpieces.

The cake topper.

We were overjoyed with how everything came together. And just had to share these images with you.

PUMA Event Centerpiece

PUMA stands for Pennsylvania United Medical Association. They are doing absolutely amazing things throughout the world. PUMA sends Doctors and Nurses to very remote locations to give their time and service to help those who would for various reasons not have access to patient care. Pennsylvania has some of the greatest Doctors in the world, so the blessing of their visit is outstanding, and life changing. In our support of this great organization we donated these centerpieces.

Laura and Jonathan’s Wedding at Pomme

We love a wedding with personal touches, and Lauren’s wedding was nothing short of that. From the Brides bouquet to the chuppah, the place card “arbor”, and the table favors, the night was certainly one to remember.

Image

The Bride had some of her family members paint on strips of silk, that were later sewn together and this was used for the cloth covering for our birch chuppah. The beautiful pastel colors lent themselves wonderfully to the colors already in the space. Pomme has a light and airy, clean and modern feel to it as is, and the chuppah just built on that already existing vibe.

The above image is of the Brides creative way of displaying her place cards. Hanging from clothes pins and string, the guests came and looked for their name on a maple leaf. After this whimsical use of the arbor, it was more practically used in the garden of the newly weds new home.

Each small glass bottle was hand painted by family with their signature Wedding color, Tiffany blue.

Image

Special mercury glass pieces, collected by the family, were used to decorate the fireplace in the reception area and make it more inviting.

Image

Each centerpiece was a potted phalaenopsis orchid plant in a wire footed urn and filled with green moss. The center pieces were donated by the family to nursing homes in the area.

Finally a photo of the Brides bouquet. Salmon roses, white ranunculus and special greens were finished off with ivory satin ribbon and pearls from the Brides Grandmother.
